Inclusion Ventures – Jaywick

July 2021 – November 2022

We were asked to tender for a lottery funded project for Inclusion Ventures in Jaywick. Inclusion Ventures are a registered charity which was set up in 2002 as a drop-in centre for vulnerable young people in response to the lack social care within the area.

We were successful in our tender and were appointed as the main contractor in the summer of 2021. The project involved two adjoining units (a former carpet shop and amusement arcade) below flats which we knocked through and created two openings which formed access to the office containing the therapy and meeting room and the main area which contained the kitchen, WCs, utility, shower room, plant room, stores, dining and activity areas.

We worked with the Contract Administrator and Architect Mr Adam Jackson from Grow Design and a London based Quantity Surveyor Mr Daniel Scharvona from Trogal Griffin Associates.

The works comprised a full strip out and asbestos removal to the existing units and an extensive refurbishment comprising all new electrical, mechanical and plumbing installations, partitions both glazed and fire rated, fire stopping, joinery, flooring, new shopfront, and external repairs.

The works were completed on time and to their budget and were £265,000.00p
